BRIDGE CITY, Texas — Funeral arrangements have been set for a 30-year-old Groves man after a tragic Bridge City motorcycle accident.
Spencer Raygon Allen died on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Allen leaves behind his mother, sister, brother, a niece and nephew, both grandmothers and numerous aunts and uncles.
A funeral service for Allen will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Broussard's located at 505 North 12th Street in Nederland at 2 p.m. Allen's family and friends will gather on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Broussard's from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
An interment at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches will follow the funeral. A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses.

The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. Bridge City Police responded to the were the intersection of FM 1442 and National Drive after receiving a call regarding the accident, according to a news release from the Bridge City Police Department.
Officers learned that the driver of a 2018 Dodge Charger failed to yield right away as he drove onto FM 1442, where he collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
At this time, 12News is not naming the driver of the Dodge because charges have not been filed.
Allen was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Pct. 2 Judge Chad Jenkins.
This crash is currently under investigation. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the release.

On July 10, 2022 around 7:10 pm., Officers responded to a fatality accident at the intersection of FM 1442 and National Drive. Upon Officers arrival, they learned the driver of a 2018 Dodge Charger, failed to yield right away, as he proceeded to drive onto FM 1442. The driver of the Dodge Charger, Gregorio Carrera, entered into the path of a 2021 Harley Davidson motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to collide with the Charger. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 30 year old, Spencer Raygon Allen of Groves Texas. Mr. Allen was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace, Chad Jenkins. This crash is currently under investigation. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
